1v1 Soccer Online

MEGAGOL is a free top-down arcade soccer game that runs in the browser, and it has three ways to play 1v1. Online ranked matches pair you with another player and the server referees the game; if no human is found within 10 seconds, a server opponent steps in so you are never left waiting. Two players can also share one keyboard on the same computer, either head to head or on the same team against the computer. There is nothing to install and no account is needed to start: open the page and play on a laptop, tablet or phone.

How online 1v1 works

MEGAGOL online matches are 1v1 and server-refereed: the server owns player positions and the score, so results cannot be edited on the client. Each result updates a permanent skill rating and weekly and monthly leaderboards. While you search, a countdown shows when the server opponent will join, and you can start against it straight away.

Two players on one keyboard

MEGAGOL Two Players mode splits one keyboard: the left seat moves with W A S D, the right seat with the arrow keys and uses K to pass and L to shoot. Pick head to head, where each player controls a team, or co-op, where both players are on the same side. Gamepads work too.

What else is in the game

MEGAGOL has 238 clubs across 14 leagues plus 32 national teams, a Daily Match where every player gets the same fixture, a Season with league, cups and transfers, tournaments and a win streak. Matches last 3, 5, 7 or 10 minutes.
